Holidays come alive through a variety of programs. Parties, performers, and visiting school groups come together to provide a joyous and celebratory atmosphere. Our growing relationships with local Yeshivas from Preschool through High School bring warmth and smiles to the faces of our residents. Our weekly "Adopt a Bubby Program" has made Wednesdays a special day at the Tietz Center. Our Kosher kitchen enhances the festivities by providing traditional holiday favorites.

• YI of Forest Hills Chanukah Party 2016 Margaret Tietz Center helped to sponsor the Chanukah Party for the Seniors at the YI Forest Hills. Beautiful fruit platters catered by our chef, a great DJ, raffles and gifts for all. A wonderful time was had by all. 100 seniors very much enjoyed all the festivities.

• YI of Queens Valley Chanukah Party 2016 Margaret Tietz Center hosted our annual Chanukah Party for the Young Israel Queens Valley Senior League. There were approximately 100 in attendance who had a wonderful time. Great luncheon catered by our own Chef Yossi, Great Music and a Chanukah gift for all.

• MTC Residents & Family Chanukah Party 2016 >Margaret Tietz’s own Rabbi, Rabbi Pearlman hosted a beautiful Chanukah Party for the residents and their families. Latkes and jelly donuts were flowing, and Chanukah music filled the air. A community candle- lighting took place each evening with our Rabbi, the residents and those family members that were able to attend. Margaret Tietz also supported Chanukah celebrations for the Rego Park Chabad seniors, YI Holliswood Senior Center, Hillcrest Jewish Center Seniors.
