Joining the Queens Jewish Community Council, Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, along with its parent organization, the Beth Abraham Family of Health Services: Passover Food Distribution

Joining the Queens Jewish Community Council, the Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, along with its parent organization, the Beth Abraham Family of Health Services are sponsoring this major food distribution for Passover for those in the community who are in need .We say at the Sedar on the first two nights of Passover “All those who are hungry come and eat”. The Queens Jewish Community Council is acting in the spirit of the statement, a few days early, on April 10, 2011 by distributing at its food pantry packages of Kosher for Passover food to those in need. The amount of food distributed for Passover is greater than any other month of the year. There are two reasons for the increase, one Passover food is more expensive than non Passover food. Also, since Passover is such an important holiday where food is an essential component, people who may be embarrassed about coming for food the rest of the year will come for the Passover provisions.
